Milling Machine
Emtech is a high-speed mobile column milling machine. It was design to meet a wide range of customer requirements in process of machining prismatic parts and 3D shape complex parts as well. In order to ensure all the capabilities necessary for above-mentioned processes and to have a right balance between these capabilities and the final price the machine was designed in a modular configuration.Emtech has the following important parts:
- the bed
- the column slide
- the column
- the ram slide
- the ram
All these parts are manufactured and/or casted from high quality iron. All axis use precision linear guideway system INA type RUE 65 for X and Y-axes and RUE 45 for Z axis (alternative IKO or STAR). Main spindle uses precision high-speed spindle bearings (FAG type). For Y and Z-axes the motors directly drive the ball-screws. Both ball-screws are IT5 precision rolled with adjustable pre-load ball-screws made by Rexroth Star.
For the X-axis the motor drives the spur by mean of one Alpha Getriebe precision planetary gear reducer (1:40) and a backlash compensation reducer (1:2) design by Emsil. This solution ensures a high torque for this axis together with a very good dynamic response. All machine is completely covered by Metal Gennari Italy made covers. In all cases chip conveyor up to the maximum X axis travel is a standard feature. The entire project for Emtech was realized in order to meet 93/68CEE machine directive.
